Star Trek: Eventide 777

The river cut straight through the forest, and had a new looking stone bridge built across it. The path continued, but the water was certainly calming to listen to.

Jack soon found the river and his eyes widened slightly. Water... But no, wait. Wait wait wait! He couldn't exactly drink it, could he? Who knew what was in that water, and he didn't have a filtration system anywhere near! So, sighing heavily in defeat, he began walking down the river and didn't drink from it... Bummer. But the water was actually pretty nice to listen to.

If Jack followed the path it would continue to lead him through the forest... But it looked like there was a clearing further ahead if he pushed on.

Honestly he had nothing to lose, and his curiosity would scream at him later if he gave up on pursuing what was at the bottom of the river, but.... Agh, screw it! He actually picked up pace so much to run alongside the river, wanting to see what was in the clearing on the other side.

The forest began slowly clearing until Jack finally came across... A #field. An empty field.
